Golang Backend Engineer - Sygma Account Abstraction Protocol
Sygma is searching for an individual passionate about advancing blockchain interoperability, experienced in blockchain protocols, and dedicated to enhancing these areas by blending their functionalities.
The role involves developing a next-generation interoperability and cross-chain account abstraction stack, incorporating advanced blockchain and verifiable computation technologies like Optimism Cannon, Halo2, and zkVMs. The focus is on creating a trust-minimized Sygma solution through innovative cross-chain technologies such as ZK and Optimistic bridges for full consensus verification of Ethereum, Polkadot, and possible extension to other chains like Bitcoin.
As the Backend Engineer for the Cross Chain Interoperability Protocol at Sygma, your responsibilities include architecting and implementing extensions to the Sygma interoperability and cross-chain account abstraction protocol and related tools to strengthen blockchain interoperability.
Your contributions will impact the sophistication of blockchain interoperability, pushing the boundaries of this emerging technology. Work at Sygma is open-source, allowing for widespread engagement and collaboration across different blockchain networks and ecosystems.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain efficient backend services and APIs using GoLang.
- Integrate with various Interoperability protocols and networks, wallet providers, and Dapps to aggregate cross-chain balances and ensure seamless user interactions.
- Implement and optimize routing algorithms for complex transaction fulfillment.
- Enhance current solutions for security, scalability, and performance of backend services.
- Contribute to automating development processes, encompassing build, deployment, and monitoring.
- Write well-documented, clean, and maintainable code.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience in blockchain technologies as a developer and a minimum of 3+ years as a Software Engineer.
- Proficiency in Golang with a background in developing high-performance backend services and APIs.
- Extensive practical experience with the EVM.
- Experience in building distributed systems and knowledge of system design concepts.
- Strong debugging skills and attention to detail.
- Problem-solving and investigative mindset, with an eagerness to explore unfamiliar codebases.
- Capability to contribute knowledge and insights from exploring new technological domains.
- Willingness to learn various technology stacks.
Bonus Skills
- Experience with interoperability projects or protocols.
- Proficiency in identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks in distributed systems.
- Familiarity with cloud environments like AWS.
- Knowledge of containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Expertise in SQL and/or other database storage engines.
