Description
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Hardware Engineering team at Ledger. As a Hardware Validation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the low-level validation of new components and the initiation of prototype boards.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop firmware and drivers to facilitate the qualification of new hardware components
- Analyze and report on components' performance in comparison to expected behaviors
- Contribute to the enhancement of our factory test mode
- Collaborate closely with Hardware and Electronics engineers to ensure proper setups of components within our systems
- Work on microcontrollers and microprocessors to drive innovation
- Build various applications on Ledger OS for testing and validating hardware performance within the system
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience
- Strong proficiency in C programming
- Proficient in Python programming language
- Familiarity with versioning tools like Git
- Well-versed in low-level concepts such as interrupts, system ticks, peripherals, etc.
- Experience with operating systems like Linux
- Knowledge of micro-kernels like FreeRTOS, Zephyr, etc.
- Fundamental understanding of electronics and the ability to review schematics
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting components' datasheets
- Ability to debug on target using JTAG, SWD, GDB
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, soldering irons
- Experience in simple custom PCBAs is advantageous
- Understanding of "Secure Elements" is a plus
- Fluent in spoken and written English
