Java Developer (Mid to Senior)
We are seeking a team member to assist in creating, enhancing, and maintaining software for various projects connected to our core businesses. These projects are rapidly developed with a streamlined team. Your role will involve contributing to the design of different components supporting scalable applications, spanning from frontend UI to backend structures.

The exchange is governed by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) as a registered DCO and DCM.

Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and uphold top-notch Java applications for a broad global user base
- Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and fellow developers to devise and implement software solutions aligning with business needs
- Address intricate issues in Java applications through analysis, troubleshooting, and debugging, while identifying areas for enhancement
- Establish an efficient deployable system with automated testing and continuous integration and deployment
- Ensure software solutions exhibit scalability, reliability, and optimal performance
- Produce and sustain comprehensive technical documentation for applications and processes
- Guarantee the adherence of software solutions to industry and regulatory standards
- Engage in code evaluations and furnish constructive feedback to team members
- Keep abreast of the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in the field
- Resolve production concerns, document issues, and follow up on resolutions
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Possess a minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Java application development and maintenance
- Proficient in core Java, Spring Framework, and relevant frameworks and tools
- Experienced in creating and integrating with RESTful APIs and microservices
- Familiar with agile methodologies, test-driven development, and continuous integration/deployment
- Proficient in problem-solving and analytical capabilities
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Proficiency in working both independently and as part of a team
- Awareness of low-level networking or OS internals (Linux)
- Responsive to novel concepts from others, keen to enhance existing methods, open to challenges and opportunities
Desirable Requirements
- Experience with cloud technologies like AWS or Azure
- Familiarity with DevOps tools like Jenkins, Ansible, or Docker
- Knowledge of financial services regulations and compliance
- Competencies in SQL, database design and optimization,
- Exposure to Kubernetes, FIX protocol, and messaging systems such as Kafka or Artemis/RabbitMQ
