Description
We are looking for a Junior Animator to join our team for an exciting project named Seedworld on Unreal 5.3 or above.
As a novice animator, you will be responsible for creating and optimizing character, prop, and vehicle rigs for our games to integrate well with Unreal Engine 5. You will work closely with game designers to develop animations and troubleshoot issues to meet Unreal Blueprint standards.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Game Designer and Art Director to produce animations for characters, vehicles, and props.
- Assist in maintaining and creating custom rigs as required.
- Coordinate with Art Directors, Technical Artists, and Developers to meet technical requirements.
- Stay informed about the latest rigging and Unreal techniques for application in production.
- Enhance asset usability by sharing ideas throughout the project.
- Engage in technical discussions and assist in problem-solving.
- Document work for internal and outsourcing communication purposes.
- Resolve animation challenges and attend technical reviews.
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of animation experience in the gaming industry.
- Proficiency in Maya, Photoshop, Z-Brush, Mudbox, or similar software.
- Basic knowledge of character, prop, and vehicle animation.
- Development experience like C++ programming is beneficial.
Desired Qualifications:
- Skill in creating custom rigs in Maya.
- Understanding of skinning anatomy.
- Proficiency in various animation types.
- Knowledge of biped/quadruped locomotion and IK/FK features.
- Experience in facial rigging and joint systems.
- Familiarity with game engines and development tools.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to project timelines.
- Preference for working with Unreal Engine 5.
Bonus Skills:
- Proficient in creating custom rigs and skinning in Maya.
- Knowledge in transferring animation files across different skeletons using software like HumanIk in Maya.
- Understanding of Unreal Engine 5 and its Animation Blueprint implementation.
