About The Role
As we embrace the Web3 era, we are seeking a Lead Designer to play a key role in shaping player engagement and retention strategies for games. This position involves designing systems that enhance player experiences through quests, rewards, and social mechanics that connect with each game's unique identity.
Working in close collaboration with product managers, you will define product vision, conduct rapid experimentation for validation, and create designs that drive conversion, retention, and sustained engagement.
The ideal candidate will possess a keen understanding of systems thinking, a strong commercial sense, and experience in designing for complex multi-sided products. This role demands proficiency in fast-paced environments, effective teamwork across various teams, and the ability to mentor other designers in growth initiatives. You'll Be Empowered To
- Conceptualize and launch innovative Web3 experiences, focusing on player-centric designs and products like Immutable Play.
- Harmonize studio requirements with player experiences to create authentic interactions and engaging moments.
- Design and expand Studio system tools, such as Points-as-a-Service systems, to facilitate player loyalty rewards.
- Amplify design impact through systematic thinking and experimentation frameworks.
- Lead product validation by conducting rapid experiments and translating bold hypotheses into actionable designs supported by data.
- Partner with product managers to drive strategy and long-term vision for key products.
- Utilize AI tools to tailor personalized, game-themed rewards while maintaining quality and creativity.
- Monitor product metrics to ensure design implementations drive engagement, conversion, and retention.
- Collaborate with international teams to grow and localize community engagement systems.
- Collaborate across functions to test, launch, and optimize player-focused features.
We'd Love You To Bring
- Minimum 6 years of experience as a Product Designer, preferably in fast-growing tech or gaming industries.
- Proven expertise in 0→1 product design in dynamic environments.
- Proficiency in designing for complex, multi-sided products, marketplaces, or game ecosystems.
- Adept at systems thinking to create scalable designs aligning with broader product strategies.
- Strong design craft, animation skills, and attention to detail in various design elements.
- Skilled in lean experimentation with a business impact on key metrics.
- Proficient in applying gaming psychology to enhance player engagement, virality, and monetization.
- Data-savvy with a strong business acumen, capable of analyzing player metrics and unit economics.
- Experience in AI-driven design to accelerate experimentation and personalize player experiences.
- Proven track record of cross-team collaboration across product, growth, and engineering divisions.
