Join us as a Lead Technician at Foundry, a subsidiary of Digital Currency Group, the most prolific investor in the blockchain industry. In this role, you will support our mining operations in Minden, NE under the guidance of the Site Manager.

The Lead Technician is responsible for upholding standards with a skilled team to ensure efficient and effective mining facility operations. Additionally, they foster a culture of professionalism, operational excellence, and a welcoming work environment that encourages career development.

An ideal candidate should possess strong communication and organizational skills, a deep understanding of ASIC mining, and project management experience. The Lead Technician must have technical knowledge of cryptocurrency mining, support daily business operations, maintain facility efficiency, and manage operational risks.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Site Manager in supervising the cryptocurrency mining site to ensure operational excellence and adherence to SLAs.
  • Address complex technical issues as a point of escalation.
  • Support in recruiting, developing, and managing the Site Operations team.
  • Aid in training new hires and providing feedback for professional growth.
  • Manage the asset lifecycle, from arrival to retirement, and operate within the operational budget.
  • Conduct safety training for the team and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Execute strategies to achieve goals and optimize Data Center performance.
  • Develop and uphold SOPs and EOPs for operational efficiency.
  • Make informed decisions to optimize resource allocation and achieve operational targets.
  • Collaborate with the Product Development Team on product automation integration and support.
  • Monitor and enforce performance metrics across all Data Center activities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate equipment repairs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware issues.
  • Understanding of Network, Electrical, Mechanical, and building systems.
  • Proficient with Web-Based Programs and O365.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to change.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and safety requirements.
  • Experience optimizing cryptocurrency mining operations in large-scale facilities.
  • Familiarity with various crypto mining hardware and related technologies.
  • Understanding of data analysis for optimizing mining operations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk, reach, climb, stoop, and lift up to 75 pounds.
