Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement Binance's global strategy for intellectual property (IP), including registration, protection, litigation, and licensing.
  2. Manage brand protection initiatives to safeguard consumers against fraudulent operations.
  3. Provide strategic legal advice and counsel on various legal topics, including licensing, intellectual property, and commercial matters.
  4. Conduct IP due diligence for mergers and acquisitions and assess IP risks in commercial transactions.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional and regional teams to offer support on transactional matters.
  6. Draft and negotiate contracts, conduct risk assessments, and suggest value-enhancing measures while mitigating downside risks for the company.
  7. Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations, anticipating and addressing compliance issues.
  8. Identify legal framework developments and promote consistency in legal matters among internal stakeholders.
  9. Take calculated risks and implement solutions to resolve identified issues.

Requirements

  1. Qualified to practice law in Hong Kong, Singapore, or a common-law jurisdiction.
  2. 6-10 years of experience working in-house or at a global law firm.
  3. Transactional background in tech, e-commerce, fintech, or payments.
  4. Strong team player with excellent business sense.
  5. Proven track record in advising on intellectual property and commercial matters.
  6. Exceptional legal technical expertise, business acumen, and interpersonal skills.
  7. Hands-on work ethic with the ability to independently manage complex projects.
  8. Inclination to develop innovative solutions to meet evolving business needs.
  9. Proficiency in Mandarin and English (written and spoken) to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
