About the Role:
As a Member of Technical Staff for the Corporate Engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the organization in its utilization of technology platforms. Your responsibilities will include active participation in substantial Corporate Engineering projects, proficiently handling IT help desk tasks, managing onboarding and offboarding logistics, as well as discerning the critical connections between operational dependencies and Anchorage's overall mission and product development roadmap.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary contact for IT inquiries and requests.
- Oversee major IT projects from planning to implementation and ongoing maintenance.
- Take charge of automating IT Operations, encompassing onboarding, role changes, inventory management, troubleshooting, account provisioning, and software license oversight.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to automate manual workflows through coding.
- Automate self-service IT and security reporting functions.
- Contribute to the development of comprehensive IT policies, standards, and best practices.
- Partner with Security and People Teams to deliver relevant training.
- Engage with Finance and Engineering teams to optimize software and equipment expenditure.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated capability in implementing Corporate Engineering and program management practices.
- Strong inclination towards leveraging automation to streamline manual processes and continuous improvement of existing systems.
- Proficiency in coding languages like Golang, Python, or Shell.
- Skilled in log analysis.
- Experience in cross-functional projects and collaboration with team members to address issues, provide training on IT best practices, and optimize operations.
- Exceptional soft skills for effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to bridge gaps with empathy and proactive engagement.
Bonus Skills (if applicable):
- Possession of relevant information security certifications.
- Familiarity with audited processes and evidence collection.
- In-depth understanding of topics like SIEM, Cloud logging and monitoring, Single Sign-On authentication, SCIM, Infrastructure-as-Code, network analysis, Google Cloud Platform, among others.
