Middle Office Operations Associate

As an integral part of the team at a prominent software platform specializing in digital assets, you will undertake a crucial role as a Middle Office Operations Associate. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around overseeing operational aspects pertaining to options trading, with a secondary emphasis on DeFi. This position necessitates a profound comprehension of options mechanics, risk management, and structured products, coupled with the ability to monitor positions, margin requirements, and P&L across various trading platforms, thereby contributing significantly to operational efficiency, risk mitigation, and process automation in a rapidly evolving market landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise all non-linear financial operations, focusing primarily on options trading, encompassing trade reconciliations, lifecycle event management, and settlement activities.
• Monitor, reconcile, and provide comprehensive reports on trading P&L, margin balances, and position risk to ensure accuracy across diverse trading venues.
• Collaborate closely with trading, risk, treasury, and finance teams to guarantee smooth execution, funding optimization, and effective risk controls.
• Enhance and create automation tools for risk monitoring, P&L attribution, and reconciliation procedures for options trading.
• Establish robust operational workflows and risk controls to support the burgeoning options market activity.
• Provide support in DeFi-related operations as required, particularly where they relate to structured products or on-chain derivatives.
• Stay abreast of market trends, risk methodologies, and regulatory advancements in options trading and digital asset markets.

Requirements:

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
• Possess 4+ years of experience in financial operations, preferably within options, structured products, or derivatives trading.
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of options mechanics, risk management, and margin optimization.
• Experience collaborating with trading desks, clearing brokers, and exchange-traded and OTC options.
• Familiarity with DeFi products and protocols is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks, and perform effectively in a fast-paced trading environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the capability to collaborate across functions.
