Responsibilities

The role of Mining Technician at Foundry presents an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual. Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, this multifaceted role involves assisting the Mining Operations team in the deployment, maintenance, and management of cryptocurrency mining equipment within data center environments.

Eligibility

This position specifically caters to candidates seeking employment at one of our designated physical locations in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Mining Operations and oversee proprietary crypto mining activities
• Deploy new crypto mining units in data centers
• Maintain the existing operational fleet of crypto mining machines
• Utilize technical knowledge to conduct repairs and maintenance on mining equipment
• Coordinate the shipping and receiving of equipment with the Operations team
• Collaborate with software systems to set equipment programming parameters
• Catalog inventory of equipment and spare parts
• Perform routine site maintenance as needed

Prerequisites

Required Qualifications: Skills and Abilities

• Proficiency in computer hardware operations
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong motivation and goal-oriented mindset
• Ability to manage task priority and adapt with evolving company strategies
• Capacity to assimilate new operational practices and implement improvements effectively
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively
• Ready for travel as necessary, with a minimum 20% within the US.
• Comfortable working in a generalized warehouse environment, which may include noise and heat exposure.

Preferred Qualifications: Skills and Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree
• Interest and knowledge in cryptocurrency
• Experience in Bitcoin mining
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite
