Operational Risk Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

• ERMF & Governance Section:

• Assist in developing risk-related policies and procedures alongside crafting training materials for risk management.

• Provide support for maintaining robust risk governance within the company by aiding in the establishment of Key Risk Indicators and supporting Board Committee reporting.

• Offer assistance and guidance to Risk Champions/Risk Owners within the 1st line of defense and help compile risk reports for Business Units.

• Country Risk Management Section:

• Aggregate regional incidents, conduct periodic trend analysis, and perform thematic reviews.

• Assist the regional team in aligning key risk indicators with the firm's risk governance framework.

• Aiding the central risk team in overseeing the regional operations continuously.

• Product Risk Management Section:

• Assist in evaluating product risks and collaborate closely with Risk Owners to conduct risk assessments and control evaluations across various Crypto products.

• Validate identified controls from product risk assessments and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.

• Conduct risk assessments for new products/services.

• Functional Risk Management Section:

• Supervise the outsourcing framework, guaranteeing adherence to regulatory mandates, and managing internal and external service providers.

• Collaborate with various internal and external teams to establish and monitor controls and contractual safeguards.

• Assist in setting up key risk indicator matrices among all risk pillars, both globally and regionally.

• Other Responsibilities:

• Support Operational Risk team initiatives, encompassing Third-Party Risk Management, Incident Management, and Business Continuity Planning.

• Generate Risk Dashboards and Reports for senior management oversight.

• Engage in ad-hoc projects and tasks requested by the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in fields like Business, Commerce, Finance, or Risk Management is preferred.
• Possess a minimum of 8 years of experience in financial services, operational risk, audit, advisory services, or product management.
• Familiarity with database management systems, governance, risk, and compliance tools is advantageous.
• Demonstrated capability in project management and execution, handling multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills coupled with a positive attitude.
• Self-disciplined, capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines proficiently.
