Your Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Principal Visual Designer to enhance the quality and coherence of our experiences, establish consistency, and provide organizational guidance and training to elevate design standards. Your deep understanding of our customers will shape the visual language and interaction patterns for Circle's product suite, driving customer and business success through standalone experiences and projects. Collaborating with Product Management, Engineering, and fellow designers, you will ensure exceptional customer interactions with our brand.
Key Duties:
- Develop and educate on core design principles for our products
- Refine the visual language and interaction patterns iteratively
- Use prototypes and motion designs to visualize ideas
- Maintain visual consistency across customer touchpoints
- Hold teams accountable for adhering to design standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align processes and prioritize needs
- Contribute to the growth of the design team through best practices and process establishment
Desired Background:
Lead Visual Designer:
- Over 7 years of visual/UI design experience with a focus on look and feel direction
- Ability to iterate work for user success and enjoyment
- Proficiency in communicating complex concepts visually
- Understanding of designing across desktop and mobile platforms
- Embracing a "less is more" design approach
Principal Visual Designer:
- All Lead Visual Designer requirements, plus:
- Over 12 years of pertinent design experience with full ownership of design direction
- Demonstrated impact on process and business outcomes through design decisions
- Ability to connect design work across product areas for problem-solving
- Regular contributions to overall design team processes and system-thinking utilization for presentation components
Compensation and Benefits:
Starting remuneration is based on factors like experience, skill set, and organizational needs and may vary by location. The base pay ranges are between $157,500 - $207,500 for Lead Visual Designer and $187,500 - $240,000 for Principal Visual Designer. Additional components include annual bonuses and equity, along with benefits like medical, dental, vision, 401(k), a discretionary vacation policy, 10 days of paid sick leave, and 11 paid holidays annually in the U.S.
