Key responsibilities
As a Principal Visual Designer at Circle, your primary responsibility is to enhance the overall quality and consistency of user experiences across our product suite. By deeply understanding the needs of our customers, you will define and refine visual language and interaction patterns to drive customer satisfaction and business success. Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Product Management, Engineering, and fellow designers is essential to deliver exceptional user experiences reliably.
Key duties include
- Defining and educating on foundational design elements used in our product suite
- Developing and evolving the visual identity of our design experiences through continuous refinement
- Incorporating prototyping and motion design to effectively communicate ideas
- Ensuring visual coherence across all customer touchpoints
- Supporting product development initiatives by guiding teams to maintain high visual standards
- Collaborating with various teams to align processes and prioritize design requirements
- Contributing to the growth of the design team by championing best practices and scalable processes
Qualifications needed
For Lead Visual Designer:
- Over 7 years of visual/UI design experience, with a proven ability to set design direction collaboratively
- Passion for iterating on designs to create successful user experiences
- Strong communication skills for translating complex concepts into visual elements
- Mastery of designing cross-channel experiences, particularly for desktop and mobile platforms
- Advocate of minimalistic design approach
- Knowledge and experience in design systems for digital products
For Principal Visual Designer:
- All Lead Visual Designer requirements, with additional experience:
- 12+ years of visual/UI design expertise, demonstrating leadership in design direction and outcomes
- Track record of design decisions influencing processes and business outcomes positively
- Ability to connect various design efforts to solve interconnected challenges
- Consistent contribution to team processes and adoption of systems thinking for design components
