Primary Responsibilities:
Circle is seeking a Principal Visual Designer to enhance the quality and coherence of our digital experiences, establish uniformity across platforms, and provide mentorship and guidance to enable others to uphold these standards. By gaining deep insights into our customers and their requirements, you will define the visual language and design principles for Circle's product suite, fostering unique experiences that contribute directly to customer satisfaction and business growth. Collaborating closely with Product Management, Engineering, and fellow designers, you will ensure that customers consistently enjoy exceptional interactions with our platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, guide, and promote the use of foundational design elements of our products
- Shape, refine, and formalize the visual identity of our design experiences, continuously iterating on them
- Employ prototypes and motion design to convey your creative concepts effectively
- Maintain visual coherence across all customer touchpoints
- Uphold high design standards by supporting product development initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on processes and prioritize design needs
- Contribute to the expansion of the design team by establishing best practices and processes while scaling our product offerings
Requirements for Consideration:
Lead Visual Designer
- Minimum 7 years of visual and/or UI design work, collaborating to define the look and feel of projects
- Strong dedication to refining designs for optimal user experiences
- Effective communication of intricate concepts through visual elements
- Proficiency in designing seamless user experiences across various digital platforms
- A design approach centered around simplicity and minimalism
- Familiarity with the utility of design systems for enhancing team workflows
- Experience in designing for both consumer and B2B/SaaS digital products
Principal Visual Designer
- All qualifications of a Lead Visual Designer, plus:
- Over 12 years of experience in refining visual designs and influencing end results directly
- Demonstrated impact of design decisions on process efficiencies and business outcomes
- Ability to connect design solutions across diverse product areas to address common challenges effectively
- Active contribution to team processes and application of systems thinking for designing presentation layers and components
Additional Information:
- This role is eligible for immediate PERM sponsorship for eligible candidates.
- Compensation Ranges:
- Lead Visual Designer: $157,500 - $207,500 with 15% Annual Bonus Target
- Principal Visual Designer: $187,500 - $240,000 with 17.5% Annual Bonus Target
- Comprehensive benefits include equity, medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plans, discretionary vacation policy, 10 days of paid sick leave annually, and 11 paid holidays in the U.S.
