Role Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Risk Analyst to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial risk management, particularly in the cryptocurrency space. You will play a key role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that could affect our fundraising operations and broader crypto activities. This role demands a detail-oriented mindset, advanced analytical skills, and an ability to develop robust risk management strategies in a fast-paced environment.

Duties/Responsibilities

Identify potential risks related to cryptocurrency fundraising and investments, including market volatility, regulatory changes, and fraud.

Conduct in-depth research on risk factors affecting blockchain technology and the global cryptocurrency market.

Develop and implement risk assessment models to evaluate the financial impact of potential risks..

Monitor and analyze industry trends, emerging risks, and potential red flags to proactively mitigate threats.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, compliance, and finance to ensure the organization adheres to regulatory standards and best practicesDevelop contingency plans and risk mitigation strategies to safeguard the organization from unforeseen events.

Prepare comprehensive reports and risk assessments to inform key decision-makers.

Contribute to developing policies and procedures to enhance overall risk management frameworks.

Preferred Skills

Experience in developing risk models to evaluate financial exposure and the impact of potential risks on the organization

Knowledge of crypto wallets, transactions, and blockchain auditing.

Familiarity with cryptocurrency regulations, including anti-money laundering Anti-money laundering, Know your customer, and data protection laws.

Proficient with data analysis such as Python, R, Excel, or SQL to analyze complex data sets.

Ability to prepare detailed risk assessments, reports, and compliance documentation for the decision-making process

Experience using risk management software and financial tools

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in risk analysis, preferably in cryptocurrency, blockchain, or financial services.

Strong knowledge of blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and the crypto regulatory landscape.

Proven experience with risk management tools and financial modeling.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

Ability to communicate complex risks and strategies in a clear, actionable way.

Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the crypto industry is a plus.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Additional Requirements or Expectations Specific to the Position

Certifications in risk management, blockchain technology, or related fields are a plus.

Familiarity with coding (e.g. Python) to automate data analysis and risk modeling is a bonus.
