We are currently seeking a skilled Senior Fullstack Developer who enjoys tackling complex technical hurdles, constructing robust backend systems, and developing responsive web applications. As a key contributor in this role, you will be instrumental in the design, expansion, and upkeep of essential platform features and web interfaces utilized by millions of learners and institutions worldwide.

As a Senior Developer, your responsibilities will entail designing, constructing, and maintaining high-capacity backend services and user interfaces throughout the product ecosystem. Leading technical initiatives spanning across multiple sprints, producing precise technical specifications, coding in C# and JavaScript/TypeScript, and utilizing AWS infrastructure to ensure platform reliability will be part of your daily tasks.

Additionally, you will have the chance to mentor team members, collaborate with product and support teams, and actively engage in projects that embody our core values and raise engineering standards across all departments.

Responsibilities:

• Software Engineering & Architecture: Produce top-tier code in C# for backend services and JavaScript/TypeScript for web applications, emphasizing scalable and fault-tolerant component architectures and APIs.

• Technical Design & Planning: Craft detailed technical specs for multi-sprint projects, including cost estimations and architectural assessments, while actively seeking peer feedback during technical design evaluations.

• Cloud Architecture & Integration: Develop and deploy services leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS), working alongside DevOps and Cloud teams to ensure optimal performance and security.

• Code Quality & Technical Standards: Participate in code reviews, enforce coding standards, and maintain robust test coverage across the codebase.

• Mentorship & Collaboration: Guide mid-level and junior developers, promote a culture of technical rigor, and collaborate across departments to deliver customer-centric features.

• Customer Empathy & Operational Support: Collaborate with support teams to address complex technical escalations, maintaining a deep understanding of customer needs and product usage.

Mandatory Skills:

• Proficiency in Advanced English level

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience in delivering complex customer-facing applications

• Strong skill set in C# or Java, with a good transition capability to C#, and proficiency in object-oriented design principles

• Proficiency in JavaScript and contemporary frameworks like TypeScript, Node.js, React

• Strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) core services and cloud infrastructure

• Deep understanding of core CS fundamentals

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Nice to Have:

• Experience with modern front-end frameworks like React and building single-page applications

• Proven experience in developing and maintaining public or enterprise RESTful APIs and microservices

• Background in high-scale SaaS or cloud platform environments

• Familiarity with educational software ecosystems and enterprise integration standards like SAML, OAuth2, LTI
