Handling roughly 20% of worldwide Bitcoin transactions, BitGo supports over 600 coins and tokens, mindful of the backbone security and operations for 1500+ institutional customers across 50 nations, including regulated entities and the world’s primary cryptocurrency exchanges and platforms. Backed by prominent entities like Goldman Sachs, Craft Ventures, Digital Currency Group, DRW, Galaxy Digital Ventures, Redpoint Ventures, and Valor Equity Partners.

To sustain our expansion, we are searching for a Risk Controller familiar with the financial services realm to augment our team.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining and enhancing the risk management system in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, such as MaRisk, KWG, MiCAR, and constructing relevant processes and documentation.
• Backing the Board in improving the internal control system, risk management, and controlling procedures.
• Execution of risk inventories and creation of the overall risk profile and risk coverage mass (risk-carrying capacity).
• Close collaboration with the Board and relevant departments on regulatory matters and risk strategy development.
• Reporting to the Board, upkeep, and monitoring of risk-relevant parameters.
• Supervising outsourcing activities and performing corresponding risk analyses, also reviewing the minimum requirements for outsourcing agreements.
• Administration and updating of risk policies and operating instructions.

Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree with an advanced degree or certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient writing skills and ability to articulate clearly in various cross-functional teams.
• Sharp attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness.
• Strong problem-solving, investigative, and analytical skills.
• Action and results-oriented; empowered to foster change and exert a positive impact on the organization.
• Knowledge of risk management and control mechanisms within financial institutions.
• High dedication to quality, ethics, integrity, and compliance within the company.
