Rust Engineer (Greenfield project)

Our team is dedicated to developing and enhancing software for various venture projects closely related to our core businesses. We are looking for someone to actively participate in designing scalable applications, ranging from frontend UI to backend infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and propose architectural decisions, participate in designs, conduct design review, code review, and implementation
• Identify and implement solutions to complex problems within the blockchain protocol
• Work with operations and infrastructure teams to build high-scale backend services
• Manage documentation for all code and functionalities implemented
• Collaborate with DevOps and ecosystem engineers to enhance the tech stack for long-term engineering initiatives

Requirements

• Passion for creating high-quality products that solve real-world problems
• Proficiency in various technologies, quick learner, and a proactive approach to getting tasks done
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to manage conflicting requirements from multiple stakeholders
• Willingness to embrace new ideas, a proactive attitude towards improvement, and openness to challenges
• Self-starter capable of defining and executing tasks with minimal guidance
• Openness to learning, collaborative spirit, and willingness to give and receive feedback
• 5+ years of engineering experience, preferably with strong backend development skills (e.g., Go, Rust, Java, Erlang)
• Hands-on experience with basic cryptographic primitives (e.g., BouncyCastle in Java): digital signatures, key exchange, symmetric and asymmetric encryption
• Basic knowledge of distributed systems and understanding of consensus algorithms like Raft or PBFT
• Experience with or interest in Go or Rust, and previous involvement with blockchain system internals is a plus
