Security Engineer

Job Summary:

Flow Traders is seeking a skilled Security Engineer to join the Technology team in New York. The ideal candidate should possess practical experience in various cyber security tools and be adept at collaborating within a diverse team to oversee daily security operations and projects. Responsibilities:

• Analyze, interpret, and manage alerts, security logs, and network flows
• Implement firewall rules, handle security incidents, and regularly audit and document the environment
• Safeguard security infrastructure by staying at the forefront of security practices
• Coordinate closely with global colleagues and other IT teams such as networking and enterprise systems

Requirements for Success:

• 5+ years of professional experience in Cyber Security
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Cyber Security, Computer Science, or STEM-related)
• Detail-oriented, proactive, organized, methodical, and a strong communicator (including fluency in English)
• Proficiency in firewalls, application security scanning, and security orchestration
• Proficiency in scripting and/or research language (e.g., Python) is beneficial
• Certifications like CISSP, GSEC, CEH, or CISM are advantageous supporters

The salary structure is based on dependable market research to establish competitive ranges, considering variables like experience, location, and skill set to determine actual compensation. Employees can partake in annual discretionary variable remuneration highlighting performance and contributions to company success.

As per NYC laws, the total compensation for this role consists of a base salary ranging from $115,000 to $145,000, plus annual discretionary variable remuneration.
