Seedworld Studios is currently in search of a skilled Senior Game Security Engineer to join our team specializing in User-Generated Content (UGC) within the gaming industry. We require a dedicated professional with profound knowledge of identifying vulnerabilities and promoting best practices across code and infrastructure. This position will directly report to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and collaborate closely with the Technical Director.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and enhance the security of the Seedworld UGC platform.
- Perform in-depth technical evaluations and establish threat models.
- Offer security guidance to developers and engineers throughout the product’s lifecycle.
- Incorporate and automate security tools and services to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams from development to deployment stages.
- Stay updated on emerging industry threats and elevate security awareness amongst team members.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Game Security or closely related roles.
- Proficiency in identifying vulnerabilities and thinking from an attacker's perspective.
- Strong grasp of DevSecOps practices and Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) best practices.
- Comprehensive understanding of application architectures and design principles.
- Expertise in recognizing and addressing major attack vectors, including those stated in the OWASP Top 10.
- Experience working with C++, Unreal Engine 5, and Blueprints.
Nice to Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as OSCP, OSWE, CDP, GSSP, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and Bash.
- Familiarity with Perforce Helix Core, Perforce Swarm, Epic Online Store Authentication System, and EVM Smart Contracts.
