Senior Backend Game Developer
We are currently looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Backend Game Developer to join our primary team. You will be a key contributor to the development of Seedworld, one of the leading metaverse projects in the industry. Your role will involve reporting to the Technical Director and collaborating closely with various teams to actualize our project vision.
Responsibilities:
Develop and deploy scalable backend game services capable of handling high traffic and real-time multiplayer interactions.
Write efficient and strong code to support highly available services, guaranteeing seamless gaming experiences for users.
Work in conjunction with game designers and fellow developers to introduce new features to our games, enhancing player engagement and enjoyment.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Profound understanding of real-time multiplayer games and associated backend structures.
Demonstrated expertise in concurrency and distributed systems to ensure smooth gameplay for expansive player communities.
Proficiency in utilizing REST APIs for efficient communication between game servers and clients.
Strong grasp of SQL, encompassing adeptness in database design and implementation to manage game data effectively.
Experience with C++, Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux for backend service deployment and management.
Ability to design reliable systems with minimal downtime, providing consistent gaming experiences for players.
Previous involvement in developing dependable, high-throughput systems capable of handling significant player loads.
Good understanding of functional testing and load testing approaches to ascertain backend service performance and stability.
Nice-to-Have Skills and Qualifications:
- Prior experience with PlayFab, EOS, or other mainstream backend game services for leveraging third-party tools to enhance game functionality.
