Senior Blockchain Engineer (Ethereum)

We are seeking a talented individual who has experience with Ethereum to join our Corda Platform's Interoperability engineering team. In this role, you will contribute to the development of bridging technology between public blockchains and Corda. This is a greenfield project area where you will be responsible for designing architectural components, reviewing code, managing your own time, and delivering high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop software and contribute to your team's technical delivery by writing and reviewing designs and code.
• Resolve issues raised through QA or Support tickets.
• Foster a collaborative team culture by valuing your peers' contributions, meeting commitments, and promoting craftsmanship.
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure a cohesive product.
• Embrace a culture of ownership, making design choices, learning from successes and failures, and continuously improving software.

Other Responsibilities:

• Represent your team in cross-team alignments, retrospectives, and technical discussion forums.
• Present and discuss your team's work with R3 stakeholders.
• Write blogs and internal tech-talks.

Essential Skills:

• Strong technical programming background.
• Understanding that Software Engineering is a discipline and Programming is a craft, and a desire to continually improve both.
• Experience working with Ethereum or Enterprise Ethereum.
• Proficiency in developing and deploying software on the EVM.
• Experience with enterprise-level software development. Knowledge of Java, Kotlin, and cloud technologies (such as AWS) is beneficial.
• Familiarity with standard building and delivery automation tools, particularly Gradle.
• Experience in domains where high availability and performance are critical.
• Commitment to quality and engineering agility, with a focus on delivering the best possible products and capabilities for our customers.
