Responsibilities:

As Senior Counsel, reporting to the Assistant General Counsel, Product and Regulatory, you will spearhead legal coverage for the Circle Account and a range of digital asset products. In collaboration with innovative product teams leveraging crypto assets and blockchain technology, you will help shape a new financial account for businesses and navigate evolving regulatory landscapes concerning stablecoins and digital assets.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Guide product development of Circle Account and digital asset offerings, including pioneering blockchain initiatives like stablecoins, NFTs, and decentralized finance.
  • Offer counsel on compliance with US and international laws regarding digital assets and virtual asset services, especially concerning global expansion and licensing.
  • Assist in fortifying legal processes, procedures, and metrics to enhance overall legal service efficiency.

Requirements:

  • JD degree and active law license in a good standing in at least one state.
  • 5+ years of in-house counsel experience advising on product matters and regulatory affairs, preferably in fintech or institutional finance.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for financial technology, with a track record in cryptocurrency and blockchain legal matters.
  • Familiarity with global AML and CFT regulations for digital assets.
  • Strong team player, eager learner, and mentor.
