Responsibilities:

As the Senior Counsel reporting to the Assistant General Counsel, Product and Regulatory, you will oversee legal matters pertaining to Circle's account offerings and various digital assets. Collaborating with dynamic product teams, you will guide initiatives leveraging cryptocurrency expertise and blockchain solutions, shaping regulatory strategies for stablecoins and digital assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise on legal aspects of Circle's account and digital asset products, including cutting-edge blockchain offerings like stablecoins, NFTs, and DeFi.
  • Ensure compliance with both US and international regulations concerning digital assets and virtual asset services, with a focus on global expansion and licensing.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor degree and active law license in good standing in at least one state.
  • 5+ years of in-house counsel experience advising product teams or leading regulatory coverage, preferably in fintech or financial services.

  • Knowledge of global AML/CFT regulatory frameworks for digital assets.

Additional Details:

  • Day-one PERM sponsorship available for eligible candidates.
  • Competitive compensation package includes base pay ranging from $180,000 to $237,500, with an annual bonus target of 15%.
