Job Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer passionate about developing platforms that drastically reduce lead times for implementing Machine Learning research into production. The Data team's vision is to enable our cross-functional ML teams to focus primarily on resolving complex ML challenges rather than struggling with data engineering, infrastructure, and operational obstacles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Constructing and maintaining data annotation pipelines while establishing continuous data delivery and annotation workflows.
- Collaborating with ML teams to create data transformation pipelines for extensive computer vision datasets.
- Developing robust data quality metrics to enhance data quality and diversity continually.
- Promoting standardization in data management and exchange.
- Supporting data sourcing endeavors, license management, and data governance strategy.
- Collaborating with the Platform team to ensure efficient data storage, transportation, and accessibility.
Qualifications:
- Strong analytical background with a BSc or MSc in data engineering/machine learning or related fields.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Experience in managing large-scale datasets for machine learning, encompassing the establishment of quality metrics.
- Proficiency in setting up scalable infrastructure for ML/Data Teams, inclusive of CI/CD & Data pipelines.
- Familiarity with working on cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, and expertise in infrastructure as code.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous involvement in an early-stage data function, pivotal in shaping the development of the data team.
- Hands-on experience with the AWS Data Stack.
- Experience handling large-scale data, particularly in the Computer Vision domain.
- Proficiency in multi-stage data transform pipelines and managing large model training with extensive content hours.
Salary Range: $180,000 - $225,000 annually

- Recruiting Screen: A preliminary call with the recruiting team to explore backgrounds, interests, motivations, and ensure mutual suitability.
- Hiring Manager Screen: Zoom interview with Platform Engineering Leadership to assess technical expertise.
- Reverse System Design: Collaborative session introducing data transformation with members of the Platform Engineering team.
- Final Interview: On-site meeting with ML team members focusing on data operations and ML operations.
Your Recruiter and the hiring manager serve as your main points of contact throughout the interview preparation, with opportunities to interact with 4 to 6 team members from various departments. Constructive feedback will be provided if no offer is extended.
