Senior Data Engineer - Trading Analytics

The Quant Trading team is seeking a skilled Senior Data Engineer proficient in ClickHouse and AWS infrastructure to join the Trading Analytics team. The role involves supporting various data engineering needs within trading, middle office, and trade capture systems. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Python for ETL, experience in AWS cloud infrastructure, and familiarity with data orchestration tools like Airflow and Kafka. Previous exposure to trading, crypto, or middle office roles is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, manage, and optimize scalable ClickHouse infrastructure for extensive datasets to ensure performance and maintainability.
• Develop robust ETL pipelines using Python for data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to configure AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda.
• Create and maintain data orchestration workflows using Airflow and integrate Kafka for real-time data processing.
• Work closely with various teams to support business needs through the data infrastructure.
• Enhance data pipeline performance and scalability while ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data infrastructure to maintain data governance and security best practices.
• Provide technical leadership within the team and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications:

• At least 8 years of experience in data engineering building large-scale data systems.
• Proficiency in ClickHouse infrastructure setup and operations.
• Strong Python skills for ETL pipelines and data workflows.
• Deep understanding of AWS infrastructure components and security.
• Experience with data orchestration tools and real-time data processing using Airflow and Kafka.
• Exposure to trading, crypto, or middle office environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of machine learning and AI is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
