Key Responsibilities:
Circle seeks a senior product leader to spearhead the strategic vision and execution of the company's comprehensive risk and compliance platform products. Overseeing the creation and evolution of a product and infrastructure tailored to reinforce Circle's global proprietary risk and compliance strategies, this role involves closely collaborating with various functions to grasp regulatory requirements, operational needs, and strategic imperatives. The ideal candidate is skilled in managing complex program areas, liaising with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, with a solid track record of owning and enhancing risk and compliance tools, systems, and platforms. Adaptability to a dynamic environment and a proactive approach to mitigating challenges are paramount in achieving efficiency and market expansion goals.
Core Responsibilities:
Crafting and managing Compliance and Risk Platform Product Strategy and roadmap, aligning with stakeholders, outlining business needs, and prioritizing requirements.
Establishing and cultivating a global team of product managers dedicated to Compliance and Risk Platforms.
Driving enhancements to existing tools and systems, refining processes while reimagining solutions.
Forming strategic partnerships and fostering relationships with key stakeholders to accelerate risk and compliance initiatives.
Identifying operational inefficiencies, resolving bottlenecks, and mitigating potential hindrances to risk and compliance platform endeavors.
Collaborating with various stakeholders to accurately define product requisites, generate insights, and craft detailed user stories to scale Circle's Risk and compliance operations.
Advocating for risk and compliance interests at organizational leadership levels, ensuring strategic alignment and effective execution.
Establishing and maintaining documentation for Compliance Platform operations, ensuring a transparent process for prioritizing functional needs.
Contributing to all stages of product development, from conception to deployment, to provide timely risk and compliance expertise.
Reporting product status, key metrics, performance, and goals to internal stakeholders and impacted teams.
Developing and monitoring KPIs/KRIs for internal reviews, including Executive Leadership and Board-level reporting.
Presenting to regulatory bodies, examiners, and auditors engaged in Compliance program assessments.
Essential Requirements:
15+ years of relevant experience in implementing KYC, AML, or Sanctions technologies in robust organizations, preferably within Fintech or cryptocurrency sectors.
Previous executive or managerial leadership roles, with a strong foundation in Compliance policy, product, or engineering within banking, consulting, or cryptocurrency industries.
Proficiency in RegTech or Fintech is beneficial, coupled with a knack for creative problem-solving and collaborative teamwork.
Experience in designing risk and compliance workflows, understanding operational rigor requirements.
Proactive, self-driven mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making and adeptness in regulatory exam logistics.
Strong leadership skills, fostering accountability, and upholding excellence within diverse teams.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence process improvements in compliance operations and systems.
Familiarity with leading diverse teams in a complex organization, along with extensive knowledge of money laundering and terrorist financing methodologies.
Familiarity with tools such as Slack, Apple MacOS, and GSuite.
Compensation and Benefits:
Annual Base Pay Range: $242,500 - $302,500, considering various factors like experience, skills, and organizational needs.
Additional Inclusions: Equity & Benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k)), discretionary vacation policy, 10 days paid sick leave annually, and 11 paid holidays per year in the U.S.
