Key Responsibilities Include:
Joining the Policy team, you will play a role in a risk analysis capacity focused on identifying trends, devising strategies to detect and mitigate risks to ensure trust and safety within the organization. Ideal candidates should possess expertise in analyzing substantial data sets to identify potential threats to Circle and USDC. Strong interpersonal skills will aid in effective collaboration, along with a methodical, strategic problem-solving approach. Additionally, the role involves delving into new product features to assess their implications on existing policies and systems. A proactive nature and a background in countering illicit finance are desired in candidates, who enjoy analytical challenges and shaping new policies.
Key Areas of Focus:
- Conduct thorough investigations on potential illicit activities such as market manipulation, money laundering, fraud, and sanctions breaches.
- Develop metrics for quantitative and qualitative insights from internal and external data sources.
- Identify and investigate data sets requiring further scrutiny and analyze fund flow using blockchain tools.
- Offer technical guidance on intricate analyses and suggested mitigations.
- Assist in managing requests from law enforcement, banking partners, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Risk Management to identify risks, document controls, and monitor effectiveness of risk management program.

Requirements for Success:
- Four or more years of experience in financial institution AML investigations, preferably focusing on blockchain.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
- Proficiency in analyzing large transactional data sets with SQL knowledge as a plus.
- Effective communication and relationship-building capabilities.
- Experience with blockchain forensic tools like Chainalysis, Elliptic, or TRM Labs.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Certifications like CAMS or CFCS are advantageous.
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Slack, and Apple MacOS preferred.
- Bachelor's degree; Graduate degree in Law, Business, or Intelligence Studies is a plus.

Compensation Breakdown:
- Base Pay Range: $102,500 - $137,500
- Annual Bonus Target: 12.5%
- Additional Benefits: Equity and comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Unlimited vacation policy, 10 days of paid sick leave annually, and 11 paid holidays in the U.S.
