Senior FPGA Engineer
Flow Traders is currently seeking a skilled FPGA Engineer to join our dynamic Product Development team based in Amsterdam. As an FPGA Engineer, you will collaborate with a small team working on developing Flow Trader's highly responsive applications. You will be responsible for the end-to-end solution, which includes design, development, testing, latency benchmarking, product deployment, and process automation to enhance productivity.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a team of FPGA hardware and software developers to construct scalable ultra-low latency trading systems
- Influence the direction and technology adoption for FPGA/ASIC projects
- Contribute to enhancing productivity tools and optimizing the RTL design flow
- Keep abreast of the latest hardware advancements and open-source projects
- Enhance your expertise in the finance sector and flourish as an FPGA Engineer
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in FPGA/ASIC design engineering
- Over 3 years of experience in SystemVerilog/Verilog
- At least 2 years of proficiency in C++17
- Proficiency in networking protocol stack (Ethernet/IP/TCP/UDP)
- Familiarity with Linux environments
- Demonstrated open-minded, cooperative attitude with a willingness to learn
- Eagerness to understand how the systems you develop integrate into our trading operations
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with High-Level Synthesis tools (Chisel, Vivado HLS)
- Experience with open-source testbench tools (verilator, cocotb, etc.)
- Knowledge of financial protocols and their hardware implementation
- Understanding of algorithmic trading strategies
- Proficiency in Python programming
- Exposure to Bamboo CI, Ansible, systemd
- Familiarity with jinja2, ctypes, SWIG
