Senior Full Stack Engineer - AI Focus (Backend + AI Applications)

Job Summary

A challenging opportunity for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with a focus on AI awaits you. In this role, you will drive the integration and enhancement of advanced AI models such as Llama and GPT in our system while creating scalable backend solutions. Utilizing your expertise in machine learning and neural networks, you will be responsible for refining and implementing AI applications to ensure smooth incorporation into our existing infrastructure. Collaboration with diverse teams to construct AI-driven features and support junior engineers' growth will be a key part of your role. Candidates with a solid AI background and 4-5+ years of experience are encouraged to apply.

This role will commence as a remote position, with the possibility of shifting to a hybrid California-based work model.

Key Responsibilities

• Backend Development: Take charge of designing and developing scalable backend systems, APIs, and services.
• AI Model Development: Drive the integration, fine-tuning, and deployment of cutting-edge AI models within the system.
• AI Application Development: Develop and optimize AI-powered features and applications with a focus on advanced techniques such as neural networks and deep learning.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement AI-centric features effectively and ensure seamless backend integration.
• Research & Optimization: Keep abreast of the latest AI research and technologies to optimize models for practical implementation and scalability.
• Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on AI integration and backend development.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD degree in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or related fields.
• 4-5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, concentrating on AI and backend systems.
• Experience in reputed AI firms is highly desirable.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in backend technologies like Node.js, Python, Go, Java, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure.
• Thorough knowledge of AI models, neural networks, machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch, including expertise in fine-tuning and model deployment.
• Advanced familiarity with transformer-based models such as Llama and GPT.
• A solid grasp of distributed systems and scalability issues.

Soft Skills

• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Capability to convey complex AI concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Mandarin would be an asset but is not mandatory.

Salary: $180,000 - $220,000 annually
