(Senior) iOS Mobile Engineer
Our client is seeking an early-stage fintech company to build a cutting-edge mobile-first investment platform for global markets. The platform aims to simplify international investment processes and offer a seamless user experience integrating brokerage, FX, funding, portfolio management, and market information.
Backed by a seasoned founding team, the company is growing its engineering team to advance the product from initial development to production phase. Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of the native iOS application utilizing Swift and SwiftUI.
- Define and enhance the application's architecture and technical trajectory.
- Enhance core investment, account, funding, and portfolio functionalities.
- Design user-friendly mobile interfaces to clearly convey transaction and account statuses.
- Implement secure authentication, session management, and local data handling mechanisms.
- Collaborate closely with backend engineers on API integration, data models, and exceptional scenarios.
- Ensure accurate display of financial information and currency conversions.
- Address challenges related to mobile performance, stability, and crashes.
- Manage App Store releases, adhering to review protocols, privacy standards, and release quality.
- Identify and mitigate mobile security vulnerabilities.
- Contribute to product decisions and technical considerations in a dynamic startup environment.
Requirements:
- Over 6 years of professional iOS development experience.
- Proven track record in developing and maintaining native iOS applications.
- Proficiency in Swift programming language.
- Strong familiarity with SwiftUI and knowledge of integrating UIKit when necessary.
- Thorough understanding of iOS architecture, application lifecycle, and platform capabilities.
- Experience in areas such as secure storage, biometrics, authentication, push notifications, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize security, reliability, and data accuracy in applications.
- Skilled in debugging and performance optimization.
- Comfortable with taking ownership of application development.
- Effective communication skills in English and ability to engage with technical stakeholders.
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Experience in fintech, banking, payments, or investment applications.
- Knowledge of trading or order-management systems.
- Familiarity with KYC processes and onboarding flows.
- Exposure to financial account or portfolio applications.
