We are in search of a skilled Backend Game Developer to join our central team. As a vital member, you will contribute significantly to the development of a prominent metaverse project, Seedworld. Your key responsibilities will involve collaborating with various teams to actualize our vision under the supervision of the Technical Director.
Responsibilities:
- Create and deploy scalable game backend services to support real-time multiplayer interactions and high traffic volumes effectively.
- Develop efficient code to power dependable services in order to provide users with seamless gameplay experiences.
- Work alongside game designers and fellow developers to introduce new features that enhance player engagement and enjoyment.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Profound understanding of backend architectures for real-time multiplayer games.
- Demonstrated expertise in concurrency and distributed systems to offer smooth gaming experiences to a large player base.
- Proficiency in utilizing REST APIs to facilitate communication between game clients and servers.
- Strong grasp of SQL, database design, and implementation to manage game-related data efficiently.
- Hands-on experience with C++, Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux for effective deployment and administration of backend services.
- Ability to design resilient systems that operate with minimal downtime to ensure reliable gaming experiences.
- Prior involvement in developing high-available and high-throughput systems catering to demanding player loads.
- Good understanding of functional testing and load testing methodologies to ensure backend service performance and stability.
