Senior/Lead Backend Game Developer
We're in search of a skilled Backend Game Developer with a passion for gaming to become an integral part of our core team. Your main focus will be contributing to the development of Seedworld, a major metaverse initiative within the industry. You'll be under the guidance of the Technical Director and collaborate closely with various teams to actualize our ambitious project.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement scalable backend services for games that can manage high traffic and support real-time multiplayer interactions.
Produce efficient and robust code to support high-availability services, ensuring seamless gameplay experiences for our player base.
Work alongside game designers and fellow developers to introduce new game features that improve player engagement and enjoyment.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Proficiency in designing backend architecture for real-time multiplayer games.
Demonstrated expertise in handling concurrency and distributed systems to deliver uninterrupted gameplay experiences for a large user base.
Experience in leveraging REST APIs for seamless communication between game clients and servers.
Strong knowledge of SQL, including database design and implementation for effective management of game-related data.
Proficiency in C++, Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux to aid in deploying and managing backend services.
Capability to create fault-tolerant systems that operate with minimal downtime, providing players with a reliable gaming experience.
Prior experience in developing high-availability, high-throughput systems to handle demanding player loads effectively.
Good understanding of functional testing and load testing methods to guarantee performance and stability of backend services.
Nice-to-Have Skills and Qualifications:
- Exposure to working with PlayFab, EOS, or other renowned backend game services to enhance game functionality using third-party tools.
