Description
We are looking for a skilled Backend Game Developer to join our central team and contribute to the development of Seedworld, a leading metaverse project. As part of our team, you will work closely with various groups to materialize our project vision under the supervision of the Technical Director.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deploy scalable backend services for gaming, ensuring they can manage heavy traffic and support real-time multiplayer interactions efficiently.
- Create resilient code to power high-availability services, guaranteeing seamless gameplay experiences for users.
- Collaborate with game designers and fellow developers to introduce new features that can amplify player engagement and enjoyment.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of backend architecture for real-time multiplayer games.
- Experience in handling concurrency and distributed systems to provide smooth gameplay experiences for large player communities.
- Proficient in using REST APIs to facilitate communication between game servers and clients.
- Solid grasp of SQL, including expertise in database design and implementation for efficient data management related to games.
- Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux for deploying and overseeing backend services.
- Capable of designing robust systems to operate with minimum downtime, ensuring a dependable gaming experience for players.
- Prior involvement in developing high-throughput and high-availability systems to manage demanding player loads successfully.
- Familiarity with functional testing and load testing methodologies to assess backend service performance and stability.
Nice-to-Have Skills and Qualifications:
- Background in working with PlayFab, EOS, or other popular backend game services to leverage third-party tools for game enhancement.
