Backed by a $20 million investment led by Blockchain Capital with notable contributors like Protocol Labs, GMJP, and acclaimed individuals like Juan Benet and Nikil Viswanathan, Toku has garnered recognition for its innovative approach to crypto payroll, taxes, and financial services.
We are in search of a seasoned Senior Manager to lead the revenue division, focusing on accurate forecasting, client coordination, and addressing revenue-related inquiries effectively. The ideal candidate will be tasked with streamlining the invoicing process, ensuring adherence to accounting standards, and delivering revenue predictions that align with our business expansion objectives. This role will be pivotal in driving revenue strategy, ensuring client satisfaction, and resolving issues promptly and professionally. The Senior Manager is expected to progress into a Finance lead position within the next three years.
Proficiency in system development, quick learning ability, and an inclination to enhance processes and enhance efficiency from the ground up are essential traits for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Management:
- Supervise the complete revenue cycle encompassing invoicing through to collection.
- Ensure accurate and prompt revenue recognition in alignment with relevant accounting guidelines.
- Forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue based on client agreements and market trends.
- Offer insights and analytics to identify potential opportunities for future revenue growth.
Client Coordination:
- Act as the primary finance contact for client finance matters, handling invoicing and payment concerns proficiently.
- Address and resolve issues regarding invoice accuracy and discrepancies.
- Collaborate with sales, legal, and operations teams to streamline communication and financial transactions with clients.
Aging and Collections:
- Monitor and manage client receivables alongside aging reports to ensure timely payment.
- Provide management with detailed reports on overdue accounts and partner with collections team to address delinquent accounts.
- Execute proper follow-up and escalation procedures for aging receivables.
Management Reporting:
- Address senior management queries regarding revenue performance, client aging, and financial stability.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with a focus on revenue insights and analytics.
- Develop and maintain dashboards to oversee critical financial metrics effectively.
Accounting and Compliance:
- Ensure all revenue and client transactions are accurately recorded and comply with pertinent local regulations and accounting standards.
- Assist in audits and ensure adherence to internal controls within all revenue processes.
Revenue Forecasting:
- Collaborate with sales and finance teams to develop detailed revenue forecasts based on historical data and current business pipelines.
- Provide scenario-based analysis to assess potential client growth and associated risks.
System Development:
- Work collaboratively with IT and finance teams to enhance financial systems and reporting tools.
- Identify and implement system enhancements for optimized invoicing, revenue recognition, and client management processes.
- Support the introduction of automation for financial reporting and revenue tracking to bolster efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (preferably CPA or equivalent).
- A minimum of 8-10 years of finance experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role overseeing revenue functions.
- Profound understanding of revenue recognition principles and accounting standards.
- Proficient in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and financial reporting tools.
- Ability to quickly grasp new tools, technologies, and business processes.
- Readiness to delve into grassroots operations to drive process optimization.
