Senior Product Designer (DeFi)

About the role:

is looking for a Senior Product Designer to drive and lead design in our DeFi Wallet. You’ll play a pivotal role in designing, testing, and improving the product that enables customers to explore decentralized finance and apps. DeFi Wallet is uniquely positioned with deep connections to the Cronos chain, a centralized app and Visa cards that allow unique product opportunities.

Each product designer at works directly with product managers, engineers, and also acts as a partner in research. Together they own part of an app vertical and ship solutions collaboratively with their teams.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end resolution of complex design challenges, transforming customer insights and data analytics into innovative concepts driving the development of new products and features.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, particularly engineers, ensuring a seamless transition from concept to iterative development and final product release.
• Take a leadership role in partnership with product managers, contribute to the definition and evolution of the product roadmap, shaping the direction of offerings.
• Foster collaboration among designers throughout the organization, elevating the overall design standard, enhancing design processes, principles, and tooling to stay at the forefront of industry innovation.
• Utilize extensive experience to mentor and guide other designers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented design team.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience designing digital products/services in a B2C environment
• Solid portfolio showcasing design examples for digital products and services
• Interest in DeFi, experience trading crypto, and exploring web3
• Expertise in crafting intuitive and engaging consumer-facing experiences for web and mobile platforms, with a portfolio demonstrating user-centric designs enhancing overall user experience.
• Identify gaps and overlaps in the user journey, focusing on excellence in UX thinking, and demonstrating expertise in visual design principles to exceed aesthetic and functional expectations. Exemplary written communication skills for clear articulation of design rationale and strategy.
• Apply best practices and expertise in collaboration, thriving in collaborative environments partnering effectively with engineers, user researchers, and product teams to bring design concepts to fruition.
• Proficiency in design tools, especially in Figma and prototyping tools, evidenced by efficiently translating ideas into interactive prototypes to streamline the design iteration process.
