Senior QA Engineer ( Backend)

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement detailed test plans and test scenarios for backend services and distributed systems.
• Conduct white-box testing by analyzing system architecture, source code, and design documentation.
• Create and manage automated testing frameworks and scripts.
• Perform API testing, integration testing, regression testing, and performance testing.
• Validate systems based on microservices architecture using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
• Identify, document, and monitor defects, collaborating closely with developers for prompt resolution.
• Take part in system design reviews to offer feedback from a quality assurance perspective.
• Ensure the stability of systems across middleware components like caching systems, messaging systems, and databases.
• Enhance testing processes, tools, and integration with CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a focus on backend testing.
• Proficiency in Java with the ability to comprehend complex backend code.
• Extensive knowledge of Spring Boot and Spring Cloud architecture.
• Hands-on experience with middleware and infrastructure components such as Redis, Kafka, and AWS RDS (relational databases).
• Strong background in white-box testing, including code-level validation and unit test review.
• Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman and RestAssured.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated testing.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in performance testing is a bonus.
• Proficiency in setting up automation processes.
• Proficient in at least one source code management tool like SVN or Git.
