Role Overview
Join Alchemy as a Senior Software Engineer within the API Infrastructure team to work on developing a scalable, reliable, and high-performance API layer. This role offers the opportunity to tackle complex engineering challenges, engage with blockchain technology, and have a tangible impact on customers.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure, APIs, and services
- Lead system design discussions, stand-up meetings, and code reviews
- Establish and implement best practices for backend infrastructure focusing on throughput, reliability, and latency
- Create robust test cases for new features
- Troubleshoot production issues across various service levels
- Collaborate with engineers, technical leaders, product managers, and designers
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Proficiency in designing, building, and scaling backend software components (experience with API platforms is advantageous)
- Ability to address design, scaling, latency, or performance challenges in high-throughput systems
- Hands-on experience with programming languages like Java, Golang, C++, etc.
- Familiarity with Cloud Native environments, especially AWS
- Experience with managed Kubernetes layers such as AWS EKS is a plus
- Initiative to drive new ideas independently
- Capability to balance quality and speed of delivery effectively
- Entrepreneurial experience or startup exposure is beneficial
Work Environment

The base salary for this role is projected between $135,000 - $350,000 annually, with the final amount determined by experience, qualifications, and business requirements.
