Responsibilities:
- Create low latency financial software to process billions of dollars of trading volume daily.
- Develop open-source blockchain-based code for the dYdX protocol.
- Build high-performance REST and WebSocket APIs for our frontend app and programmatic traders.
- Write open-source TypeScript and Python clients for interacting with our on-chain smart contracts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a high-quality product.
- Design efficient and reliable backend systems.
- Mentor and support junior engineers.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of full-time development experience.
- Strong coding abilities, prioritize security and efficiency, and possess a solid understanding of computer science fundamentals.
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, Express, and Docker.
