Responsibilities:
- Lead Data Engineering and Business Intelligence initiatives with an emphasis on technical expertise and strategic guidance.
- Develop and implement scalable data pipelines for business intelligence and machine learning, ensuring operational efficiency.
- Establish and maintain essential data frameworks and infrastructures.
- Design data warehouses and model data for efficient reporting purposes.
- Implement Data Governance processes focusing on data discovery, lineage, access control, and quality assurance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in data transformation and ETL processes using technologies like Spark, SQL, and Python.
- Proficient in complex SQL operations, with a strong understanding of optimization techniques and execution plans.
- Prior experience working in an AWS environment and familiarity with modern web technologies such as cloud services, MySQL databases, caching technologies like Redis, and messaging tools like Kafka/SQS.
- Knowledge of advanced Data Lake, Data Warehouse concepts, and experience in Data Modeling (relational, dimensional, internet-scale logs).
- Expertise in Python, Spark (Batch/Streaming), SparkSQL, and PySpark.
- Proficiency in an object-oriented programming language (Python, Java, or C++).
- Hands-on experience in building, testing, and optimizing ETL pipelines and data features.
- Strong background in business requirements definition, structured analysis, process design, and use case documentation.
- Detail-oriented with a data-focused mindset.
