Senior Software Engineer - HeightZero

The company is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the HeightZero team at the NY office (40 Wall Street).

Responsibilities:

• Design and construct robust and scalable APIs, libraries, and services to integrate blockchains and BitGo capabilities into HeightZero products effectively.
• Take charge of functionality and scalability features from research to implementation and deployment.
• Develop integration libraries and SDKs to connect seamlessly with our server and APIs.
• Provide clear documentation and expose functionality to UI, external developers, and internal tools.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams and product managers to ensure alignment on technical requirements and maintain work quality.
• Offer mentorship and support to fellow engineers through code reviews and sharing best practices.

Skills & Experience:

Required:

• A minimum of 6 years in backend software development.
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Exhibit discipline and ownership in tasks.
• Proficiency in server-side languages like TypeScript/Node.JS.
• Strong skills in unit and functional testing, debugging, and abstraction creation for complex systems.
• Experience with Git/GitHub, code review tools, and CI tools.
• Strong capability in algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
• Familiarity with design and implementation of different database types.

Preferred: Exposure to blockchain/crypto-security industry, knowledge and interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain, experience with microservices and service-oriented architectures, familiarity with AWS Amplify, ELB, and EC2, and hands-on experience in building scalable distributed systems.

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on seniority and location, the role offers an average base salary range from $165,000 to $210,000 USD . The total compensation also includes equity, an annual performance bonus, and outlined benefits.
