Description
We are seeking a skilled individual to join our dynamic team focused on designing, developing, and enhancing software for a variety of ventures projects. These projects are closely related to our core businesses and are rapidly developed with a lean team approach. In this role, you will play a key role in designing various components for scalable applications, encompassing both frontend UI and backend infrastructure.
Your primary responsibility will involve backend development for the company's app. Your tasks will include:
- Collaborating with a Component Team on project development
- Maintaining and enhancing both front-end and back-end systems to ensure smooth operations for teammates
- Supporting back-end services, such as resolving bugs and implementing ad-hoc features for CDC
- Investigating and resolving application errors, escalating critical issues to internal engineers as necessary
- Configuring and optimizing CI/CD pipelines
- Contributing to architectural, platform, tooling, and DevOps enhancements within the team
- Leveraging third-party monitoring tools or creating new tools as needed
- Enhancing development documentation and support resources
- Streamlining operations through automation to reduce errors
- Researching new technologies and workflows to enhance team capabilities
- Conducting technical research to propose improvements to the tech stack for long-term engineering initiatives
- Adhering to and enhancing development processes
The qualifications we are looking for include:
- 4+ years of experience in server-side programming languages
- 3+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails or a similar web MVC framework
- 2+ years of experience in frontend development, particularly with React or Next.js
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Ability to adapt to new technologies quickly and possess a proactive mindset
- Willingness to embrace new ideas, improve processes, and tackle challenges
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools
Desirable skills:
- Experience with scalability, security, and performance optimization
- Familiarity with domain-driven microservices architecture in backend development
