Job Location
This role requires full-time on-site presence at BitGo's New York office to foster collaborative teamwork and innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop strong APIs, libraries, and services to support financial services such as clearing, settlement, digital asset lending, trading, and liquidity
- Take ownership of functionality and scalability features from conception to deployment and integration with customers
- Document and communicate functionalities with UI, third-party developers, and internal tools
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure consistent understanding of technical requirements and work quality
- Provide mentorship to engineering team peers through code reviews and best practice education

Required
- 5+ years of backend server-side software development expertise
- Proficiency in functional programming and financial accounting systems
- Knowledge of digital asset trading, lending, wallets, and algorithm design
- Experience with TypeScript/Node.JS, Postgres/MySQL, RESTful API design, and testing/debugging
- Familiarity with microservices, service-oriented architectures, source control tools, and CI tools
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment and participate in system support rotations
Preferred
- Background in Financial Services and/or Financial Technology
- Competency in asynchronous programming and React
- Experience with large-scale distributed applications and working with clients/business partners
- Strong interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain industry

Pay Transparency
Compensation for this role typically ranges between $165,000 - $210,000 USD base salary depending on level and location, in addition to equity, annual bonus, and outlined benefits.
