What you will manage:

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Circle, you will architect, construct, and maintain Circle’s foundational infrastructure to meet the needs of a rapidly expanding global customer base. Working across various regions on public cloud platforms, you will leverage your expertise to ensure the consistent, reliable, and high-performance operation of Circle’s products and core systems. This role presents a unique opportunity for skill development, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous learning in a fast-paced and dynamic setting. Your key responsibilities will involve:

  • Supporting multiple development teams with a flexible CI/CD platform to deliver quality builds efficiently.
  • Building, enhancing, scaling, and securing cloud infrastructure using IaC tools.
  • Automating operational tasks through diverse programming languages and serverless solutions.
  • Managing Kubernetes clusters for various production workloads.
  • Overseeing blockchain infrastructure and managing blockchain nodes across different networks.
  • Participation in on-call rotation to address disruptions in production and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Planning and testing disaster recovery scenarios for a highly accessible microservices setup.
  • Collaborating with the Security team to develop and uphold security-focused tools and frameworks.
  • Engaging in mentoring activities to facilitate team growth and scaling.

  • Over 4 years of experience in DevOps or SRE roles, focusing on tooling, automation, and infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in coding/scripting languages like Go, Python, Shell.
  • Extensive experience in maintaining CI/CD platforms and supporting engineering teams.
  • Skills in Docker, Kubernetes, modern CI/CD platforms, and distributed blockchain systems.
  • Knowledge of database technologies, networking concepts, observability, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to convey technical concepts effectively.

Staff Site Reliability Engineer (IV)

  • More than 7 years of experience in DevOps or SRE positions, with expertise in architecture and system design.
  • Extensive knowledge of API design, cloud services, containers, Kubernetes, and SQL databases.
  • Focus on coding standards, code quality, and test coverage.
