Role Overview:

We are seeking a Smart Contract Engineer to join our Integrations team within LayerZero. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our key partners to implement custom adaptations of our OFT/OAPP contract standards. Your responsibilities will include developing tools to streamline the contract deployment process and assisting partners in managing their implementations effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with major partners to deploy custom versions of LayerZero's OFT/OAPP contract standards, ensuring seamless integration with their existing systems
  • Provide technical guidance to external partners on integrating LayerZero's protocol to guarantee optimal performance and security
  • Develop and maintain efficient tools to simplify smart contract deployment processes for internal and external stakeholders
  • Adapt quickly to integrate LayerZero's protocol across various blockchain platforms such as Ethereum, Solana, Sui, Aptos, and Ton
  • Create comprehensive test scripts and deployment pipelines using Typescript/Javascript, Hardhat, and Foundry to ensure high-quality and compliant smart contract deployments
  • Offer detailed technical support to partners for managing implementations and troubleshooting issues, while effectively communicating intricate technical details

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in blockchain technologies and smart contract development
  • Experience deploying smart contracts on Ethereum or other blockchain networks
  • Ability to swiftly learn and use multiple blockchain platforms and associated technologies like Rust (Solana), Move (Sui & Aptos), Func (Ton)
  • Skills in developing test and deploy scripts in Typescript/Javascript
  • Experience with tools like Hardhat and Foundry
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines effectively
  • Aptitude for developing tools to optimize the deployment process
  • Proficient communication skills to convey complex technical information to external partners

What You’ll Do
Design and maintain comprehensive risk frameworks tailored to Web3 systems (protocol, liquidity, counterparty, smart contract).
Monitor and analyze on-chain activity, market volatility, and ecosystem health to identify emerging threats.
Work closely with treasury, quant, and governance teams to ensure risk-adjusted strategies.
Establish and document risk policies and mitigation plans (both operational and token-economic).
Contribute to internal audits, compliance with applicable jurisdictions, and protocol transparency.
Engage with community and DAO contributors to maintain open risk communication
 
You’re a Great Fit If You
Have 3–5+ years in risk management, quantitative finance, or DeFi / crypto projects.
Know your way around DeFi protocols, liquidity pools, staking, on-chain analytics tools (Dune, Nansen, Arkham, etc.).
Understand tokenomics, smart contract audit principles, and treasury diversification strategies.
Feel at home reading Etherscan, analyzing TVL, and tracking wallet flows.
Communicate clearly, document well, and think both strategically and hands-on.
(Bonus) Have contributed to DAOs or Web3 protocols before — or maybe you’ve been a degen with a spreadsheet.
