Description
Our client, a prominent developer of body motion video games compatible with a variety of platforms including mobile devices and TVs, is currently looking for a Software Engineer. This role will primarily involve optimizing operating systems and managing low-level System on Chip (SoC) functions like Neural Processing Units (NPU), Image Signal Processors (ISP), and Graphics Processing Units (GPU). The successful candidate will also be responsible for enhancing system capabilities by closely integrating applications, firmware, and hardware.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake deep integration of software and hardware to innovate and uncover new functionalities.
- Utilize expertise in Android and Linux operating systems to enhance system performance.
- Provide technological leadership to guide the team, fostering a culture of accelerated learning, experimentation, and product advancement.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python programming languages.
- Strong background in low-level system programming, task scheduling, and multi-processing.
- Hands-on experience with system debugging tools like perfetto, systrace, and Arm Mobile Studio.
- Proficient in building and customizing the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), Android build system, and toolchains.
- Extensive knowledge of Android and Linux OS, hardware abstraction layers, and performance optimization strategies.
- Understanding of computer architectures, memory access patterns, caching, interrupts, and hardware acceleration.
- Familiarity with image processing algorithms and graphical pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge in camera technologies and Image Signal Processors (ISP).
- Understanding of neural networks, Neural Processing Units (NPUs), Arm Cortex CPUs, and Mali GPUs.
- Experience with bootloaders, system initialization processes, and deploying machine learning applications on edge devices.
- Familiarity with real-time operating systems.
