The role entails managing billing and usage information from cloud, SaaS, and PaaS providers, arranging it in real-time as per customer specifications to enable them to visualize it across various temporal and resource dimensions, thereby enhancing the quality of their business decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Construct an innovative platform technology to help customers effortless integrate Kubernetes metrics from their chosen observability platform.
• Create a backend system capable of querying key observability solutions like New Relic and Datadog.
• Formulate a data pipeline for transforming this data into CloudZero's unique internal format.
• Prototyping multiple technical solutions efficiently.
• Collaborating closely with the Product Management team to align on the intended outcomes.
• Facilitating technical onboarding for other engineers based on the successful technical methodologies identified.

Qualifications:

Mandatory skills

• Proficiency in Advanced/fluent English for effective communication
• Minimum 2 years' experience in Python development
• Extensive background (at least 8 years) in building backend systems for B2B SaaS enterprises.
• Proficiency in AWS services, particularly in AWS Lambda execution.
• Strong track record in programmatically fetching data from prominent observability tools like Datadog or New Relic.
• Well-versed in Kubernetes concepts.
• Willingness to undertake occasional international travel (up to 10%) and accommodate US East Coast time zone overlaps.

Nice to have

• Background in AWS with at least one associated certification.
• Familiarity with APIs.
