Your Impact

In the role of a Staff Engineer within Notabene, you will play a crucial role in the development of our intricate payment systems that facilitate billions of dollars in global transactions. As a top-tier individual contributor, you will set the technical direction while working closely with diverse teams. Your ability to proactively tackle challenges, navigate uncertainties, and deliver high-quality code will directly influence the scalability and stability of our platform. Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable front-end and full-stack solutions with an emphasis on performance and maintainability.

  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to define technical needs and deliver top-notch features.

  • Manage complex projects from inception to deployment, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical standards.

  • Mentor junior engineers, offer constructive code feedback, and cultivate a continuous learning environment.

  • Contribute to enhancing our engineering practices, tools, and architecture to support rapid growth and innovation.

  • Engage in live coding and system design sessions to address difficult issues and boost system reliability.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of professional software engineering experience, with a preference for specialization in front-end development and full-stack capabilities.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects, with strong communication and mentorship skills.
  • Experience in dynamic, fast-paced work environments where self-motivation and initiative are critical.
  • Strong grasp of TypeScript, modern web frameworks, and a willingness to learn new technologies like SvelteKit.
  • History of delivering sophisticated software solutions from conception to production with a focus on quality.
  • Background in FinTech, cryptocurrency, or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory, with a willingness to rapidly acquire knowledge in the sector.

Desired Experience

  • Exposure to FinTech or blockchain sectors, especially pertaining to front-end technologies.
  • Familiarity with financial institutions and AML compliance procedures.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript and familiarity with front-end frameworks such as SvelteKit or React.
  • Knowledge of privacy and security standards like SOC2, ISO27001, and GDPR.
  • Comfort working in a results-driven culture that values productivity and ownership.
