About the team:

In the role of a mobile software engineer, you will be at the forefront of building and maintaining the core OKX app utilized by millions of active users daily. Your work will involve close collaboration with design, product, and engineering teams to address customer needs and introduce high-quality features through rapid iterations. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into the complete lifecycle of crypto mobile applications, including professional and retail trading, asset management, and wallet functionality.

Responsibilities:

• Develop mobile infrastructure and tools to boost engineering efficiency
• Analyze and optimize UI and application code infrastructure for enhanced performance
• Create and sustain reusable Android app components
• Work closely with product engineering teams to provide technical solutions and adhere to best practices
• Enhance project structure and workflow to heighten engineering productivity, efficiency, and quality
• Spearhead architectural innovations to advance world-class mobile app development

Requirements:

• Possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• Hold a minimum of 5 years of Android development experience within the industry
• Demonstrated experience in building and deploying complex, critical Android app products with frequent updates
• Proficiency in optimizing app performance, reducing memory usage, and minimizing package size
• Thorough understanding of design principles and patterns along with extensive knowledge of the Android tech stack
• Familiarity with Jetpack and other open-source Android libraries like RxJava, Retrofit, and Litho
• Deep expertise in utilizing Android SDK to create scalable, dynamic, and high-performance UI components
• Competency in remote APIs, concurrency, layouts, transitions, animations, client-side persistence, and architectural patterns in mobile applications

Nice-to-have:

• Experience collaborating within a complex, matrix organization involving cross-functional and/or cross-business projects
• Background in a mobile architecture/infrastructure team with a profound understanding of the tech stack in these projects
• Proficiency in sub-engineering areas including performance optimization, toolchain, automated testing, and design patterns
• Strong communication skills with a preference for collaborative teamwork balanced with the ability to deliver significant business outcomes independently
