Your Responsibilities:

In the role of a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Circle, you will orchestrate the development, management, and enhancement of Circle's infrastructure footprint to meet the demands of an expanding international client base across numerous public cloud platforms and locations. Leveraging your expertise, experience, and skills, you will ensure the consistent, reliable, and efficient performance of Circle's products and core systems. Key Focus Areas:

  • Providing agile and responsive CI/CD platform support to various development teams to deliver top-tier builds with measurable performance and quality standards.
  • Building, fortifying, scaling, and securing cloud infrastructure and assets using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
  • Streamlining operational tasks through Go, Python programming, and serverless solutions like AWS Lambda and Kubernetes Jobs.
  • Orchestrating, overseeing, and monitoring Kubernetes clusters supporting multiple production workloads.
  • Enhancing blockchain infrastructure by setting up and managing blockchain nodes across various blockchain ecosystems including Algorand, Ethereum, Hedera, Flow, Solana, Stellar, and Tron.
  • Participating in an on-call rotation to proactively mitigate disruptions to production systems and perform root cause analyses.
  • Planning and testing disaster recovery scenarios for a highly available microservices-based architecture.
  • Collaborating with the Security team to design and maintain security-centric tools and frameworks while ensuring a top-tier security posture.
  • Engaging and mentoring team members, contributing to team expansion and growth endeavors.

Your Skills:

Senior Site Reliability Engineer (III)

  • 4+ years in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering roles, with a focus on tooling, automation, and infrastructure on prominent public cloud providers.
  • Proficiency in coding/scripting with languages like Go, Python, and Shell.
  • Experience of at least 3 years in developing and maintaining CI/CD platforms and supporting agile engineering teams in building microservices.
  • Extensive experience in Docker image creation, container deployment in Kubernetes clusters, modern CI/CD platforms, deployment strategies (Blue-Green, Canary, A/B Testing), distributed blockchain systems, database technologies, data warehousing, networking, monitoring tools, Kubernetes cluster management, and IaC practices with tools like Terraform.
  • Proficient in observability, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts clearly to peers and stakeholders.

Staff Site Reliability Engineer (IV)

  • 7+ years in DevOps or SRE roles, emphasizing tooling, automation, and infrastructure on leading cloud platforms.
  • Demonstrated team leadership in technical architecture and system design.
  • Expertise in API design, REST principles, cloud services, containers, Kubernetes, SQL databases, coding standards, and quality assurance.
